The “Farm-to-Food Pantry” program at Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset works to grow, harvest and deliver fresh produce to food pantries across the South Shore. “Carrots By Cycle” was a two-part event created by Jonny Belber this year. On May 31st, he set out on his bicycle to plant carrot seeds at 12 schools and community gardens in 9 different towns. On September 24th, Jonny peddled 64 miles and harvested over 62 pounds of carrots for pantry donations. Smaller carrots were left growing in the gardens to fatten up for a second harvest mid-October.
