Kill Your Lawns!
Mar 11 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
MA Pollinator Network: Kill Your Lawns! with Dan Jaffe

Mar 11, 2021 07:00 PM

Lawns are stupid. The idea that every house in New England should be fronted with a non-native monoculture with the maintenance requirements of a golf course and the ecological value of a strip mine is an outdated idea. Join Dan Jaffe Wilder, author of Native Plants for New England Gardens and Ecological Horticulturalist at Norcross Wildlife Foundation to learn about the various different options available to replace your turf. From well-known plants to brand new introductions, we will discuss various options that fit the needs of various different lawn spaces.

Plan to Rent a Firepit this weekend @ Holly Hill Farm
Mar 12 all-day

Looking for something fun (and safe) to do outdoors on winter weekends?

Gather your family or up to 8 friends and rent a roaring fire at Holly Hill Farm for a 2 hour window.

We provide the fire (and tend to it) and all the ingredients to toast marshmallows and make gooey s’mores.   We ask for a $100 donation to help fund our non profit farm and community programs.

Note: Seating will allow you to socially distance and we ask that you wear a mask upon arrival and in the farm yard.
