Quiche

• 5 eggs
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 cup grated Gouda cheese
• 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
• 1 ripe pear, sliced
• freshly ground pepper and nutmeg, to taste
• one 9-inch pie shell (homemade or purchased), pre-baked until very pale

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Whisk eggs in a medium bowl; add cream and combine.

Sprinkle cheese, bacon, and pear in pie shell. Season with pepper and nutmeg. Pour the egg mixture on top carefully.

Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until just puffed all the way across. Makes 8 slices.
